Analysis of the Body Sound of an Induction Machine with Squirrel-Cage Rotor depending on the Coupling of Stator and Housing (Masterarbeit)

Electrical machines, especially induction machines, produce unwanted vibrations. These strongly depend on the machine's geometry and mechanic structure. A main aspect is the coupling of stator and housing. The regarded induction machine with squirrel-cage rotor is used as power-steering drive in automobiles. FEM-models of different coupling concepts are simulated and the body sound is analyzed. At first a cylindrical refernce model is considered which is then modified. In this study the exsisting analytical models should be verified and the impact of the coupling of stator and housing on the machine's vibrations should be analyzed.
